Flatbed Upfitting FAQ's

We are a professional truck upfitter. We install flatbed truck beds from leading manufacturers and complete the full build-out in house, including mounting, wiring, accessories, and finishing. Our focus is delivering a jobsite-ready upfit, not just dropping a bed on a truck.

This includes Ford, RAM, Chevrolet, GMC, and commercial platforms such as F-250 through F-750, 2500 through 6500 series trucks, and similar vocational chassis. Each build is evaluated to ensure proper fitment, weight rating, and intended jobsite use.

We can source both the flatbed truck bed and the chassis for your build. Many customers choose a turnkey approach where we handle the truck, the flatbed, and the full upfit from start to finish. If you already have a truck or a bed, we can also install and upfit customer-supplied equipment.

City Truck Equipment provides flatbed truck bed installation and upfitting services from our facilities in Kansas City, Missouri; Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; and St. Louis, Missouri. Customers work with us locally or remotely depending on the project, and we regularly manage flatbed builds and upfits for customers nationwide.

We offer nationwide delivery on completed flatbed truck bed installations and upfits. We also operate as a ship-to upfitter, which means the chassis ships directly from the manufacturer to our facility, we complete the flatbed installation and full build, and then we deliver the finished truck to the end user. This is typically much faster than ship-through, where the manufacturer handles final delivery after upfitting. Manufacturers are excellent at building trucks, but logistics and final delivery often create delays that can add weeks or even months to the timeline. Our process shortens lead times and gives you a jobsite-ready truck faster.
